After years of attending markets, gallery and exhibition appearances with my creations, I wanted a place to call home. A place where my precious innovations could rest, and where I could work, welcome and chat with passers by as they browse my offerings, in a space that was purely me!
I wanted to be right in the thick of it all, doing my actual thang, being me.
Natural States market stall
Markets were really fun, my stall was exquisite and elaborate. It took a lot of effort to make my stall look so luxurious, amazing and beautiful. Many times people walked up to me at my stall and told me mine was the best one there!
I lugged a lot of gear around and it had to be that way, because it is all an extension of ME, so how on this earth could I not?? Personally I have quite distinctive style, extravagant design. That’s me.
I searched Adelaide for an artist studio where I could create, display and sell my work all at the same time. It was important that customers could actually see me working, that I could show them the raw guts of it all. The reels of raw copper, pliers everywhere, black fingers, sandpaper, hammers, the works. I went to every artist studio I could think of in Adelaide, but not a single one could offer a place to display and talk to people while I worked on an ongoing basis.
In the end I decided to just set it up myself. And Stepney, with its eclectic mix of vibrant stores, cafes and pubs was the obvious choice. It’s a unique vibe in Stepney, that’s what I love about it. The Universe agreed it seems, and the whole shebang seamlessly came to fruition. Every item in it was carefully chosen by me.
An old acquaintance, Adelaide interior design connoisseur Willie Stewart was my guiding light. She gave me so much encouragement. She practically had everything I wanted in her gorgeous shop. I had personal challenges going on at the time, and it was not easy to keep the momentum sometimes, but I did. It was so important to keep going. And I am very happy with it all, everyone who visits is too!
In this space your inner being feels comforted and reassured. With care, with love. Restoration is here. You Goddess are celebrated here. In this space of Divine sacredness and holiness. Restful, welcoming and pure. I share my pure clean space – with you, for you.
If you happen to chance upon my gallery, I anticipate that it is a magical experience for you, as it has been for so many others. This is a place where the remembrance of your holiness and sacredness resides, waiting for you to re-discover it. It will not be found unless you walk this path, it is a journey that some will take and some will not. As one customer said to me, “Thank God I found this place, I really needed it”.
