About Me
As a child I learnt from generations before to respect and nurture the land. I was taught at an early age the importance of a deep connection with Earth and how to create and abide in abundant and prolific gardens to nurture the body, mind and spirit. The silent beauty and reverence of nature continues to inspire. My artistic pursuits as a child revolved around ballet and learning piano. I loved to learn and play classical music and found much inspiration from my once removed cousin Clemens Leske, a well-respected and internationally renowned concert pianist. I enjoyed many of his concerts at Elder Hall and here is a short clip of him playing there if you wish to see his nimble fingers in action. https://tinyurl.com/5dyyc9hy An indelible mark; his legacy, was made on my soul during that time. Decades and many genres of music later, music and often classical music is my constant companion. When creating, it takes me to a deep special space, I am so grateful for that. The frequencies and imprints from sound alone is a major influence in my life. As an adult I turned to decorative art; stencilling and vinegar graining furniture and applying washes and sponging to the walls of the home.
It is little wonder that in mid-2020 as I lay on the couch looking intently at my Rose Quartz pendant, a rough crystal crudely wrapped in thin wire, I thought to myself, ‘I want to try doing that’. I did try and it felt so natural and effortless bending those wires to gently cradle these valuable tools from the Earth while creating something wearable. Friends and family were appreciative of my modest gifts; they encouraged me to keep going. I did because that was where I found enormous satisfaction and purpose at a time when I had little of either. It suddenly became very clear to me that through this craft my mission was to bring the healing energy of crystals into more people’s lives.
Cold forge wire wrapping resonates with me as it incredibly ancient and fundamentally simple, involving manipulation and compression of wire, yet offers unlimited design opportunities. I love to use negative space. Each stone is individually chosen for the energy I perceive from it and the story it tells. Drawing designs doesn’t work for me; I just let the piece evolve with the creative flow. Occasionally I perceive a particular piece in my mind and then set about creating it. My inspiration comes from the stone itself as I hold it in my hand. What is this stone saying to me? I can only describe my work as a fusion between the form and the formless. It is the micro the macro, my inner and my outer, all of which are the same thing; life.
I am proud to provide high quality purposeful items that are made to be treasured and last for generations. Working with slow deliberation, I imbue the highest of intention and focus into every single piece. I believe that we all need to share love in this world and am grateful to share my gift with you.

“The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.”
